May 14-16th- WMN Ride Weekend at Rynoland
sponsored by WSMX a success! Re-cap of the event
below By: Heather Majcherek of WMN Racing!
I would like to thank everyone that came out
for the WMN RACING's 1st Annual Women's Ride Weekend May 14th
- 16th at Rynoland in Anza, Ca! We had a wonderful turnout!!
The tracks held up great, with lots of room to ride with 5 to
6 tracks open. Thank you for all the help from our EMT's-
Rescue X, Denise Devines, and Frank Derby from the so cal ot
mx! Thank you to our flaggers and pit moms! Everything ran
smoothly!
We had all manner of people out there, girls,
women, boys, men, babies and doggies! We had at least seven
decades represented over the weekend! We had girls attend from
three states, and everything from learn to rides through
experts. The weather was nice during the day and at night the
stars were overhead, with a cool moon and we could even see a
planet!
It was a very kick back, relaxing and fun time.
We had lots of happy campers from rvs to trailers and tents.
In the morning we would wake up to the kickstart of a two
stoke from the kids whom couldn't wait to ride now that the
sun was up. We ended the afternoon with a dip in the kiddie
pool. When the sun went down we had set up our very own movie
theater out under the stars. We showed for two nights old
motocross movies of men's racing and a bunch of women's
motocross coverage that hasn't been seen in over twenty
years!!!!
Everything ran smoothly, and we had a blast
with the games! Lots of laughing and hard work on the block
races; the balance beam was a challenge for most, but we had
three people clear it. One mini, One girl and one person that
wheelied the darn thing! We also found out that mxer's have a
lot of random stuff in their cars based on the results of our
scavenger hunt, and how focused we could be during the word
search. WMN Racing provided the trophies for the winners of
each game. We also had a blast on the trail rides throughout
the day.
It was wonderful to see some of the legends of
women's motocross out there tearing it up and talking to their
fans and the up and coming girls. We had two wonderful bands
come out and play for us. We rocked out to a band of fourteen
year olds that were awesome!! And a band of metalheads that
were great. We had a barbecue with awesome food on Saturday.
The WSMX (Womens School of Motocross) trainers were out in
full force, giving some pointers, flagging, and helping out
people in need.
Thank you to all our sponsors that
helped make everyone's weekend. The prizes were wonderful,
lots and lots to pick from. Thank you to our title sponsor
WSMX (Womens school of Motocross), along with Racer's Machine,
Electrosport, Advocare, Freek Racing, Protect All, Boyesen,
Rudy Project, EVS, Race Tech, Factory Effex, Temecula
Motorsports, No Toil, Scotts Performance, Motovan, Pro Wheel,
Mx Websites and Zan Headgear.
We are excited for the
year to pass quickly, so the 2nd annual WMN Racing's Womens
Ride Weekend, will be upon us.
Thank you for the
wonderful memories!
